“Of all the skin conditions I treat, skin redness and rosacea can be the most devastating to a client’s self-esteem. Often first presenting as flushing of the cheeks, then progressing to visible capillaries, drinking a glass of wine can be enough to exacerbate the condition”

The Three C’s of Skin Redness – Condition, Cause, Clinical Solution
Starting as rosy cheeks, skin redness commonly affects areas are the nose, forehead, and cheeks. Diffuse redness however is often associated with a condition called rosacea and it can be hereditary.
As we age the skin becomes thinner and transparent. Coupled with sun damage, which weakens capillary walls, veins and skin flushing becoming more obvious on the skin. Skin redness is often seen after hormonal changes such as pregnancy or menopause and this can be especially evident in cases of rosacea.
Laser and IPL are the most effective treatments in combatting skin redness and, as no two cases of skin redness are the same, are specifically selected to each clients’ unique skin concern and condition.
Clinical Strategy for Skin Redness & Rosacea
“Due to the effects of ageing, such as loss of collagen, and coupled with past sun damage, redness becomes more prominent over time. Treatments therefore that stimulate collagen production – and help in the support and structure of the skin – are going to be most effective for this condition”
