“The most important advice to anyone suffering breakouts is ‘don’t pick!’ Remember, acne scars are the visible remainders of tissue damage: popping, picking or squeezing pimples, can lead to deep indentations”

“One of the most rewarding treatments to use on acne-scarred skin is skin needling. After only one treatment skin is visibly changed and scarring reduced”

Also known as collagen induction therapy, RF Micro-Needling breaks up fibrous and uneven scar tissue, encouraging the growth of healthy new tissue. Where traditional skin resurfacing methods such as deep chemical peels, dermabrasion and some laser treatments can evaporate the skin’s surface, leading to a thinner epidermis, skin needling keeps the integrity of the epidermis intact, which reduces healing time and causes less pain. There is also very little risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), which is a concern when treating darker skins.
“I have been very fortunate to work along-side Dr Phillip Bekhor from Laser Dermatology, treating highly scarred skins. I have seen such fantastic results in skin regeneration with Vivace and it works particularly well on young skin, especially if they have completed a course of Roaccutane”

Mild pain is associated with this treatment. Micro-needles penetrate the skin delivering a RF energy which gently heats tissue deep in the skin, the wound-healing cascade is triggered thus stimulating the production of collagen. Growth factors flood the area and stimulate fibroblast production and activity. The production of a base of healthy new collagen is the result and this process continues for months – building healthy skin and volume within scarred areas.
“Clinical results have shown that topical vitamin A helps to significantly increase the composition of collagen, skin thickness and elasticity, resulting in a healthier-looking skin”

“Improving skin texture and quality, reduces (PIH) post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation. It does this by stimulating cell regeneration and collagen re-modelling. Boosting the cells so they act like healthy fresh cells, gives a clear healthy complexion.”

We use a topical anaesthetic to numb the skin ensuring the treatment is comfortable. There is little pain associated with this treatment, though the skin is considerably pink. Post treatment LED Phototherapy is applied, this stimulates the skin’s naturally occurring regeneration and repair processes and increases collagen production for a smoother, clearer more radiant complexion.
Additional benefits include improve skin tone, texture, and appearance, improves skill cell function.
